This 20kg sack of Johnsons Economy Lawn Seed with Rye is perfect to plant an area of 1,000 m sq. It’s ideal for either a new large lawn or for overplanting large patches in an existing area of grass.
Made with a fast growing Perennial Ryegrass mixture and hardwearing Creeping Red Fescue that is extremely hard wearing, this makes it ideally suited to areas with heavy traffic, such as play areas or paths, as well as areas that receive less sun for example under trees or adjacent to high trees and walls.
For best results, use in Spring or Autumn.
How to use
For new lawns:
Remove weeds and debris and dig through soil to a depth of 15-25cm
Rake level
Scatter evenly at 35g per m sq.
Firm by treading or light rolling
Water regularly with a fine spray
For renovating patches:
Mow closely
Scarify vigorously to expose the soil
Scatter evenly at 20g per m sq.
Ryegrass mixture should emerge within 4-10 days depending on the weather, with Fescue emerging in 14-21 days.
